Pragati Vidyalaya (for hearing impaired)
This day school in Dadar (West), Mumbai, is also run by Vijay Shikshan Sanstha with the same mission: to provide education and an opportunity for rehabilitation to below poverty line students once they complete their education.
Sadhana Vidyalaya (for hearing impaired)
A government aided day school in Dadar (East) Mumbai, run by Vijay Shikshan Sanstha. Students who live below poverty line are provided education and an opportunity for rehabilitation when they complete their education. The quality of education ensures that the students pass SSC with flying colors.
Sant Nanaji Maharaj Secondary School
A government aided day school in Surgaon near Wardha district is furnished by us. Seeing that the children had to walk 10 KMs for a higher secondary education, the farmers built this school indigenously near the Samadhi of Punyatma Prabhakar Sharma after whom our Trust is named. All students in this school are children of local farmers. Every year one classroom was furnished by the Trust.
Nilesh Murdeshwar Karnbadhir Vidyalaya
A government aided residential school in Jawhar in Thane District, is run by Jagruti Pratishatan for the hearing impaired. These tribal students are taught such skills as Varli painting and carpentry so that the children can earn their living and be self-sufficient.
Mook badhir Bal Vikas Kendra
A government aided boarding school founded by Anutai Wagh - a well known social worker - is for economically backward and hearing impaired children from villages in Dahanu District. Along with formal education the children are taught such skills as printing, and carpentry.
Shikshan PraBANDH
Shikshan Prabandh, which means adoption for education, was started in 1993 by Smt. Rukmabai in Alandi, where she witnessed children were sent back home for not having uniforms or material for education.
She went door-to-door to collect funds to enable the education of these children; this continued till 1995. With great foresight, she decided to create a corpus, which will look after the needs of these children.
The interest earned on the amount in the corpus pays for the children’s educational needs ranging from a pencil to a uniform. Having this support enables the children to continue on their path to self-sufficiency.
This is a participatory project and when you donate to this scheme you can foster the education of one child. For every child adopted under this scheme, the schools send the progress report of the child in acadmeics and extra curricular activities to the foster parent.
