Igatpuri Children Welfare Program
On 8th January, 2005 – her 100th Birthday – founder trustee Smt. Rukmabai Tallur, gave all her cash gifts to Punyatma Prabhakar Sharma Seva Mandal Trust and expressed her wish that the Trust built a residential school for differently abled tribal children and provide them with shelter, food and clothes and an opportunity to become self-reliant by educating and training them to take up some trade.
We empower more than 100 students in our 3 schools. Our facilities include:
- Special educators
- Day and night care providers for boys and girls
- 24 hour trained nurse for any medical emergency
- Two cooks
- Supervisor and house-keeping staff
Donations to this program will be added to the corpus and the interest generated on it will be used to improve infrastructure in and around the schools, to meet the monthly operational costs of the schools and to provide the children with the relevant educational aids. There is a dire need for specialized professionals such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists for children. Your donation will also pay for the fees of such professionals and enable the children to have access to a better life.
- To ensure that each child is given nutritious meals each day, we started the Anna Prabandh program
- Our special educators who are extremely committed to make these children self-reliant for an inclusive society deserve to be recognized. The Shikshak Nidhi program takes care of the salaries and remuneration of the teachers
