Teaching the children with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities requires, besides the relevant skills, a lot of patience.

In the unaided residential schools at Igatpuri, the teachers have to look after all the needs of the children in addition to teaching.

The efforts of such committed teachers, who teach and equip the children with social skills, need to be appreciated. Recognizing the need to reward the teachers with suitable remuneration, the Trust, in 2011, decided to collect and maintain a corpus fund called Shikshak Nidhi.

The interest from this corpus is used for giving salaries to the staff. We have to raise the corpus fund to provide incremental raise to retain the teachers and the staff.
